Individuals must have a visual impairment in
both eyes that is affecting their ability to perform everyday activities.
Provides rehabilitation instruction and guidance
that helps individuals acquire skills and knowledge to manage their daily lives,
and enables adults with low vision or blindness to live more independently in
their homes and communities with a maximum degree of independence.
Provides rehabilitation instruction and guidance
that helps individuals seeking employment to acquire skills and knowledge to
prepare for, enter, engage in, or retain gainful employment
Early Intervention Services are provided to enhance all areas of child development. Services are specialized as they relate to blindness and visual impairment. The Blind babies Program helps to ensure that visually impaired and blind children enter school as ready as their sighted classmates. It also links children and their families to other available resources that could assist these families in the future.
